Tim is one of the founders of Krause Kirkpatrick Bertrand with over 35 years of experience in guiding Colorado businesses to financial success. Tim's areas of specialization include creative tax planning, physician compensation plans, medical practice revenue strategy, contract structuring and accounting.

Professional Background

  • Grew up in South Bend, Indiana
  • Served as an officer in the U.S. Army 1969 - 1971
  • Spent three years, with Haskins and Sells (now Deloitte Touche) in Chicago
  • Moved to Colorado in 1974
  • Joined the CPA firm of Pedicord & Associates, Inc. becoming a partner in 1976
  • Established the firm of Krause & Company, PC in 1985
  • Merged with Kirkpatrick and Bertrand, PC to create the firm of Krause Kirkpatrick Bertrand, PC (KKB) in 2007

Education

  • Graduated from Indiana University in 1969 with a BS in Accounting
  • Graduated from University of Denver in 1980 with a Masters Degree in Taxation

Honors and Certifications

  • Passed the CPA exam in 1972 on the first sitting
  • Passed the certification examination of the American College of Medical Practice Executives on the first sitting to become a CMPE
  • Fulfilled the professional requirements to become a fellow (FACMPE) in the American College.of Medical Practice Executives in 2007
