Vacation Destination: Disney World

One of the biggest vacation destinations for people of all ages is Disney World. It's been ingrained as the ultimate American vacation spot since its opening in 1971. Since then, Disney World has grown into its namesake and is like an entirely different world located all inside Central Florida.

There is the original park itself, The Magic Kingdom, which hosts such famous rides as Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Haunted Mansion as well as the famed Disney castle. For those who look for a more educational experience, Epcot has become a tech hotspot with Spaceship Earth, Test Track, and Innovations. Disney Studios (formerly MGM) gives a behind the scenes look at some of the most popular Disney films.

For those looking for a more sports related experience, Disney’s Wide World of Sports hosts daily sporting events that range from clay court tennis tournaments, Atlanta Braves spring training, College and AAU basketball tournaments, and the NFL Quarterback challenge. There are also two golf courses located on Disney’s property that are both PGA rated.

Nightlife at Disney is also packed with things to do. The House of Blues is a great place to catch live music. Pleasure Island hosts several dance clubs and bars for the adults, and there is always a fireworks show or two going on around the property. You can literally spend all day and night doing something Disney related.
